Our newly constructed cabins (completed at the end of 2018) overlook the beautiful Verde Creek (yes, it truly is green). They are spacious (nearly 1000 sf under roof) and tastefully decorated. Each has a covered porch, great for simply taking in the beautiful setting and observing the wildlife. The kitchen is stocked with supplies for cooking your favorite meal. We provide Keurig style coffee for your morning wakeup as well as towels, linens, soaps, etc. Bedrooms have high quality, comfortable king sized mattresses. Wi-Fi access is available. We specialize in peaceful get-a-ways so we have chosen not to have TV.
There are two cabins – great for friends or family trips. Cabins 1 & 2 are side by side (although situated where they feel private and are not looking at each other). They have shared access to a third deck with a grill. When these two cabins are rented together, children are welcome (upcharges apply, of course). 4 person limit each cabin. Our desire is to share with others our “treasured” Verde Creek which is one of the prettiest creeks in the Hill Country. It truly is a place of “peace and tranquility.” There always seems to be a breeze blowing through which provides a breath of freshness to your being. It is amazingly cool even in the Summer heat. The trees are majestic. We call the largest one down by the creek, “the tree of life” as it is huge with a perfect canopy and several of the others look as though they are bowing toward it. For the nature lover, you will find a little oasis to enjoy.
For the Texas history buff, it’s just a few minutes to a lot of Texas history (e.g., the camel experiment at Camp Verde, Center Point Cemetery that has 32 Texas Rangers buried there, historic Bandera Pass, where battles were fought, and historic Zanzenberg, the previous name of Center Point, which has a colorful history as well).
The current name of Center Point was given because it is half way between Fredericksburg and Bandera, and half way between Comfort and Kerrville. It’s a great place to settle in order to explore all of these towns: antiquing, picking, wineries, trail rides/dude ranches, shopping, museums, outdoor music, etc. It is also on the Guadalupe River and there is a nice public access there – great for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, or swimming.
